The focus areas in NCM are crew retention and being able to provide a taylor made concept to the principals. In order to do so, a rigid arrangement of recruitment, career planning and training concept has been established. "The NCM family " with our good staff of Seafarers is a well known expression throughout the maritime world and we intend to keep it that way!
All employed officers and ratings are qualified in accordance with the STCW 95 requirements.
Based on the individual Owner’s/Principal’s requirements, additional training is being performed at the various international approved training institutes.
The Crew Management may also include NCM’s own in-house developed onboard training programs. The NCM shipboard training consists of the following
Familiarization Training
Continuous Safety Training and Drills
Continuous - on the job – Training
CBT: Computer Based Training
Seagull Training System including DVD’s
Various workbooks/ procedures
i.e. Protection & Environment Training, HAZMAT
NCMs provider of the onboard training is Seagull AS.
